"Every palace needs a Queen" and the La Reina Compund promises to be just that! Located on Palace Ave. at the site of an old Santa Fe brewing company, this compound will be situated within walking distance of both the Plaza and the Canyon Road art district.

The property is part of the designated Historic Eastside District. Homes will be constructed in the Pueblo Revival style. Five single family detached residences are planned with sizes ranging from 1000 sq. ft. to 2100 square feet. Rounded corners, inset wooden windows, plaster interior walls and aged Viga ceiling beams will give character to this new project. Exterior walls will be wood framed with eight-inch boards, covered with urethane foam insulation and earth toned stucco. The interior hard troweled plaster will round into the inset windows producing a full wall thickness of about twelve inches. Radiant in floor heating will be complimented by a second forced air heating and air conditioning system in the large homes. This will allow owners to quickly heat or cool their homes as their travel plans necessitate. Brick floors are planned throughout as are hand-hewn doors made by local craftsman.

Two car garages are a rarity in the Eastside area but La Reina Compound will accommodate this luxury. The driveway will be situated off La Vereda Drive, a quiet private road intersecting Palace Avenue. Outdoor living is a big part of Santa Fe style and our homes have south facing portales for the benefit of year round enjoyment.

All homes will have enclosed landscaped courtyards with drip irrigation and lighting controlled by automatic timers. Masonry Kiva fireplaces will be a part of these outdoor environments as well as in both the living room and master bedrooms. Kitchens, as expected of a project of this caliber, will include Viking stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, and wine coolers. Counter tops in both baths and kitchens ar typically slab granite or marble. Plumbing fixtures will be Kohler or better with the standard finish being brushed nickel. Lighting is a big part of the modern home and the Coombs Company takes grate care in locating light sources for art and comfortable living.
