Santa Fe 1998

Following several trips to Santa Fe to select unique building materials in the 1970's and 1980's, he built an adobe home for himself in Santa Fe's Historic East Side and swapped a California drivers license for New Mexico. Later that year Phillip became the very proud father of young Austin Coombs.

The Coombs Company work has been awarded numerous times by the American Institute of Architect (AIA), received the prestigious "Grand Award" from Builder magazine for Rancho Cielo and has been featured in books and magazines from Japan, Germany, Italy, France and the United States. The most recent award is the Historic Preservation Award from the City of Santa Fe for the renovation of the Coombs/Stetson corporate offices on the Old Santa Fe Trail.

For almost thirty years the Coombs Company has developed and sold real estate to satisfied patrons in some of the most demanding environments in the world.
